ABOUT GABRIEL FARM Gabriel Farm is a 14 acre Organic farm located in the ideal fruit growing climate of Sebastopol, California.� The Farm features 8 varieties of Asian Pears, several varieties of Apples, Fuyu Persimmons, Lavender, Plums and many sorts of berries. HARVEST SEASON JUNE:�� Our harvest season begins as early as June with our Plum trees.� Lavender, raspberries & mulberries are also ready by mid-June.
JULY:� In July, our big crop of blackberries arrives.� The flowers in the garden begin to bloom and things start to look quite nice.
AUGUST:� Our earliest Apples start to ripen in late August.� These varieties include the local favorite Gravenstein and the east-coast perennial MacIntosh.
SEPTEMBER:� This is when it all happens in a major way.� During September, we are picking and packing all of our Asian Pear varieties as fast as we are able.� Our later Apple varieties begin to ripen during this time as well.
OCTOBER:� The late Apples are picked, and, just before Halloween the first Fuyu Persimmons are ready.� We make our juice and jam during this time as well.
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER:� At this time we are continuing to sell our fruit at the farmer�s markets.� Our fruit is hardy easily into January in the comfort of our walk-in cooler. |
