ABOUT GABRIEL FARM Gabriel Farm is a 14 acre Organic farm located in the ideal fruit growing climate of Sebastopol, California. The Farm features 8 varieties of Asian Pears, several varieties of Apples, Fuyu Persimmons, Lavender, Plums and many sorts of berries. HARVEST SEASON JUNE: Our harvest season begins as early as June with our Plum trees. Lavender, raspberries & mulberries are also ready by mid-June.
JULY: In July, our big crop of blackberries arrives. The flowers in the garden begin to bloom and things start to look quite nice.
AUGUST: Our earliest Apples start to ripen in late August. These varieties include the local favorite Gravenstein and the east-coast perennial MacIntosh.
SEPTEMBER: This is when it all happens in a major way. During September, we are picking and packing all of our Asian Pear varieties as fast as we are able. Our later Apple varieties begin to ripen during this time as well.
OCTOBER: The late Apples are picked, and, just before Halloween the first Fuyu Persimmons are ready. We make our juice and jam during this time as well.
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER: At this time we are continuing to sell our fruit at the farmer’s markets. Our fruit is hardy easily into January in the comfort of our walk-in cooler. |
